This is a travel blog by Rada Leu and Peter Tränkle.
Until the end of February we are on a preliminary research journey for our project Migrating Dialogue.
We will be traveling by train from Zurich, Switzerland to Almaty, Kasachstan. Overall, we will be spending more than 100 hours on various trains, across time zones, borders, and cultures.
Migrating Dialogue is an exchange project we are carrying out on behalf of ZHdK together with our partner organisation, the Eurasian Cultural Alliance (ECA). Later this year, five students from Zurich will meet and collaborate with five artists from Almaty. Two workshops in each city are framing a week-long journey from one place to the other.
This journey will help us get to know the route, our partners in Almaty as well as further artists.
