so happy together
Photographer captures touching images of families thousands of miles apart.
For many people, family portraits mark an important place in time; for that moment, all one’s aunts, uncles, cousins, children and parents stand together as an indefatigable unit. But so often, jobs, loves and lives get in the way of togetherness and relatives jet off to distant places.
Photographer John Clang has sought to remedy this distance with family portraits spliced together with the aid of Skype.
The New York based photographer, originally from Singapore, visited dozens of displaced relatives and had their family’s call them on Skype, projecting the faraway and the familiar together in one frame.
