The cyanotypes are made with seawater from Marmara and the things found in and around the sea (seaweed, shells, stones, trash, waves and jellyfish). They were then washed in the Sea of Marmara and dried on top of an abandoned boat. This is an attempt to collaborate with the sea and pay attention to what is there and what is not there anymore. These cyanotypes are part of an ongoing process. In this exhibition they are the extension and archival element of the book ‘WATERING’ (which is also part of the exhibition).
