The central motiv of the installation is a persian carpet wich symbolizes the garden where people come together. This carpet is cutted into two halves. One half was placed in Switzerland, the other half moved to different places in Iran (a school, an art gallery in Tehran or a garage). Through the projection both halves where reassembled and created the Third Space (in dependence to Homi Bhabhas theroy of the third space).<\/p>\n<p>The installation was shown at the Swiss Art Awards in Basel, Switzerland from 11 to 18 June 2012.<br \/>\nIn the installation &#8220;Third Space&#8221; topics like locality, time, space and politics were discussed.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"http:\/\/www.celesteprize.com\/artwork\/ido:155920\/\">(http:\/\/www.celesteprize.com\/artwork\/ido:155920\/)<\/a><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p class=\"excerpt\">Tschopp Navid Third Space, 2011 Skype-conference on a persian carpet.
